Nestle Nigeria Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Josue Mbassi as the Finance and Control Director of the Company, effective February 1, 2026. He replaces Mr. Namit Mishra who has been appointed as the Finance and Control Director for East and Southern Africa Region
Mr. Mbassi joined Nestlé Cameroon in 2006 and has built an extensive career across multiple finance functions, including Internal Audit, Treasury, and Decision Support. In 2011, he took on a mission assignment at Nestlé Côte d’Ivoire, Abidjan, where he served as Sales Controller. He later joined Nestlé Nigeria as Head of Decision Support, a role he held from April 2016 to January 2020.
In February 2020, Mr. Mbassi was promoted to Cluster Controller for the Tropical Cluster, operating within a highly regulated environment. Over a three-year period, he demonstrated strong leadership in driving business transformation and consistently delivered solid financial performance. He also developed effective working relationships with key external stakeholders, including tax authorities and the Central Bank, successfully resolving long-standing bill payment issues.

In August 2023, he moved to Ghana as Cluster Controller for the Coastal Cluster, where he played a pivotal role in sustaining business performance and strengthening planning processes amid a highly volatile operating environment. Twelve months later, he transitioned to Regional Decision Support – Central West Africa Region (CWAR). In this role, he contributed significantly to the successful preparation of the 2025 MBS for CWAR, coordinated the implementation of Central Finance initiatives, and championed the adoption of Nestlé Finance Analytics (NFA) to simplify and automate reporting processes.
His initiatives delivered more user-friendly dashboards, improved team work-life balance, and enhanced overall business performance and planning capabilities. Mr. Mbassi is widely recognized for his commitment to people development, consistently empowering team members to take on new responsibilities and advance their careers.
