NBA Africa has announced the five prize-winning startups at the second edition of its Triple-Double Accelerator Demo Day, held on December 4, 2025, in Kigali, Rwanda. Launched in 2024, the initiative is designed to strengthen Africa’s technology ecosystem and support emerging entrepreneurs, known now as the NBA Africa Triple-Double Accelerator winners.
Meet the Winning Startups
The NBA Africa Triple-Double Accelerator winners are the top five startups:
- Reborn (Morocco) – helps athletes track performance and improve skills
- Fitclan (Egypt) – digital fitness hub for individuals and corporate clients
- Athlon Technology (Egypt) – AI-powered video analysis for amateur sports teams
- Atsur (Nigeria) – blockchain platform promoting investment in African art
- Songdis (Nigeria) – digital distribution service for independent musicians
Prizes and Opportunities
All five NBA Africa Triple-Double Accelerator winners will receive financial support and entry into Carnegie Mellon University Africa’s (CMU-Africa) 12-month business incubation programme, valued at up to $70,000. The top three startups will also get $10,000 in API credits each and an immersion day with OpenAI engineers.
- Reborn – $25,000 cash, API credits, OpenAI immersion day, and incubation programme
- Fitclan – $15,000 cash, API credits, OpenAI immersion day, and incubation programme
- Athlon Technology – $5,000 cash, API credits, and incubation programme
- Atsur – $2,500 cash and incubation programme
- Songdis – $2,500 cash and incubation programme
The Competition
This year’s Demo Day featured 10 finalists chosen from over 700 applications spanning 32 African countries. Startups pitched their products to a panel of judges including Conrad Tucker (CMU-Africa), Emmanuel Lubanzadio (OpenAI Africa), and Cheick Camara and Nikki van Gasse (ServiceNow Africa). The NBA Africa Triple-Double Accelerator competition was intense and showcased remarkable innovation.
