Moniepoint is looking to hire a Head of Recovery for its branch in Lagos, Nigeria. Moniepoint is Africa’s all-in-one financial ecosystem, empowering businesses and their customers with seamless payment, banking, credit, and management tools. In 2023, we processed $182 billion and are Nigeria’s largest merchant acquirer.
The Head of Recovery is responsible for shaping and executing Moniepoint’s loan recovery strategy, ensuring minimal credit losses by optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of the recovery unit. In this role, you will develop and implement recovery strategies, design the recovery organization, and recruit top talent. A data-driven approach will be essential in evaluating the effectiveness of both strategies and personnel.
Additionally, you will engage with external stakeholders, including law enforcement and legal firms, as needed, and establish a streamlined process to maximize the recovery of delinquent and non-performing loans. This position demands extensive experience in recovery and credit risk, strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, leadership, data-driven decision-making, and a commitment to high ethical standards.
