Lafarge Africa Declares N19.33 Billion Final Dividend for 2024

Lafarge Africa Plc has announced the payment of a final dividend of N1.20 per ordinary share, amounting to a total of N19.33 billion for the financial year ended December 31, 2024.

The dividend proposal was approved by shareholders at the company’s 66th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on April 25, 2025, at The Civic Centre in Lagos.

The dividend payout underscores Lafarge Africa’s continued commitment to delivering value to its shareholders, following what management described as a solid financial performance in 2024. The approved dividend is subject to the applicable deduction of withholding tax.

Speaking at the AGM, Lafarge Africa’s Group Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Lolu Alade-Akinyemi, expressed gratitude to shareholders for their consistent support, highlighting that the dividend decision reflects the company’s strong balance sheet, robust cash flow, and disciplined financial management.

The Board of Directors reaffirmed that the company remains focused on executing its growth strategy, which includes expansion into new business areas such as waste management services, while continuing to deliver sustainable returns to shareholders.

Other highlights of the AGM included the re-election and ratification of several directors, the renewal of the general mandate for related party transactions, and the approval of the remuneration for Non-Executive Directors for the 2025 financial year.
