KPMG announces 2024 Black Entrepreneurs’ Awards: Here’s how to apply

The 2024 KPMG Black Entrepreneurs’ Awards has officially launched, offering a platform for Black Heritage entrepreneurs in the United Kingdom to showcase their businesses and compete for prestigious recognition.

Since its start in 2018, the KPMG Black Entrepreneurs’ Awards has supported 36 black heritage founders in accelerating the growth of their businesses. Previous finalists have achieved remarkable success, including:

  • Raising over £3m in funding
  • Expanding their businesses overseas
  • Being listed on the Forbes 30 under 30
  • Receiving MBEs for their services in making venture capital more inclusive

To be eligible for the competition, entrants must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a registered company in the UK
  • Have a viable product or service
  • Have been actively operating for at least 3 months
  • Not be majority-owned by a large corporate

The awards offer a unique opportunity for Black Heritage entrepreneurs to gain access to mentorship from industry leaders, valuable networking opportunities, recognition for their achievements, and support to help them overcome business challenges.

A 12-month programme receiving:

  • A cash price of £25,000 for each of the four winners to either invest in their business, donate to charity or choose a community project of their own
  • A dedicated senior KMPG professional providing mentorship and coaching
  • Expert-led workshops covering; leadership, strategic growth, negotiations and fundraising
  • Publicity through the PR channels
