JUST IN: Former NYSC DG Kidnapped

Unknown gunmen have launched an attack on the Tsiga community in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State, leading to the abduction of several individuals, including the retired Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga. General Tsiga notably served as the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) from January 2009 to September 2011.

The Kidnapping took place in the early hours of Wednesday, February 5, around 12:30 AM, instilling fear and chaos among the residents. Reports from local sources, as cited by Leadership Newspapers, confirm the kidnapping of General Tsiga along with other community members.

The local authorities have been notified, and security forces are actively engaged in operations to rescue the abducted individuals and apprehend those responsible for this brazen attack. Further details are expected as the situation develops.
