Role Overview: As a Data Protection Senior Associate, you will ensure that Paystack’s products and operations comply with legal, ethical, and best practice standards in data protection and privacy. This role focuses on developing and driving processes for Paystack’s Global Privacy Compliance Program, particularly in Europe and Africa. You will report to the Data Protection and Privacy lead and should be based in Nigeria, with the ability to travel when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to maturing Paystack’s global privacy framework
Assist in conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA).
Analyze legislative and regulatory developments to ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
Collaborate with data, security, marketing, sales, and product teams to develop and enforce policies and procedures.
Prepare documents for external presentations to regulators and industry groups during audits lense applications.
Engage data protection champions for tasks such as Record of Processing Acits (ROPA) updates and privacy due diligence.
Manage Data Processing Agreements (DPA) with third parties in collaboration with the legal team.
Update the Data Protection and Privacy (DPP) compliance calendar based on applicable legislation.
Serve as the Data PrivacisChampion.
Provide strategic input to the cross-functional data pecon and security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team.
