Global technology and industrial solutions company Honeywell has announced an opening for a Regional General Manager – Energy & Sustainability Solutions based in Lagos, Nigeria.
The hybrid leadership role is designed for experienced professionals capable of driving regional growth, strengthening strategic partnerships, and advancing sustainable energy initiatives across Africa.
As Regional General Manager, the successful candidate will establish business strategies aimed at achieving revenue growth and profitability targets across the region.
The position involves guiding sales execution, overseeing operational processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining a high-performing and engaged workforce.
The role also requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and regional leadership to expand Honeywell’s footprint in Africa’s evolving energy and sustainability ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
- Develop and execute regional business and product strategies
- Drive revenue growth and margin expansion aligned with annual operating plans
- Identify and pursue major opportunities across African markets
- Maintain executive-level relationships with Tier-1 customers, government bodies, and industry stakeholders
- Represent Honeywell at conferences and industry events
- Lead financing strategies supporting new regional projects
- Coordinate strategic initiatives with MENA and EATCA leadership teams
- Strengthen regional sales and business development functions
The role also includes overseeing commercialization strategies, supply chain coordination, pricing optimization, and product lifecycle improvements.

Qualifications and Requirements
Required Experience
Applicants must have:
- Over 6 years of leadership experience in strategy, operations, sales, or program management
- Experience in regional or multinational corporate environments
- Proven record of business turnaround or regional growth leadership
- Strong relationships within Africa’s downstream or energy sector
- Ability to manage high travel requirements (up to 75%)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or MBA
- Extensive P&L management experience
- Strong strategic and operational leadership capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams
