Hilda Baci Breaks Third Guinness World Record For Largest Serving of Rice Following Jollof Rice Feat

Hilda Baci Jollof World Record

Guinness World Records (GWR) has officially awarded Nigerian chef Hilda Baci a second world record for her successful attempt to prepare the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice, according to a confirmation email from the organisation.

In a message dated January 16, Andrew Fanning, Head of Client Partnering at Guinness World Records, informed Hilda that a review of record guidelines showed her achievement qualified for an additional category.

The email stated that while she and her team set the record for the “Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice,” the quantity prepared also met the criteria for the broader record title of “Largest serving of rice.” As a result, Guinness World Records said it had proactively awarded the second title.

“Many congratulations from me on behalf of Guinness World Records, you are Officially Amazing (again),” Fanning wrote.

The dual recognition further cements the historic nature of the achievement and highlights Nigeria’s iconic jollof rice on a global stage. Guinness World Records did not disclose the exact volume of rice involved in the attempt in the correspondence.
