The 8th edition of Lagos Fashion Week took place at the Balmoral Convention Center, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, from the 23rd-26th of October, 2019. This year’s fest was themed “Africa: Shaping Fashion’s Future”. This event brought together big stars in the Nigerian fashion firmament industry: the likes of Mai Atafo, Style Temple, Fruche, Emmy Kasbit, Gozel Green, JZO, Adama Paris, House of Kaya etc.
The Nigerian fashion industry is worth $4.7 billion, considerably lower than South Africa’s $14.4 billion. Heineken is partnering with Nigeria’s fashion industry to develop its global reach recognizing the huge opportunity to boost employment and the country’s export revenue.
