  1. The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Nigeria Program 2022 for female Entrepreneurs

The U.S. Consulate in Lagos, in partnership with Venture Garden Foundation and Ascend Studios Foundation to implement the 2022 Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), a U.S. Government initiative that supports women entrepreneurs around the world, now in its fourth year. The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Program will select 250 female entrepreneurs to receive business training, gain new networks, and learn the necessary skills to grow sustainable business.

Women’s meaningful economic participation is integral to achieving greater security and stability around the world. The AWE initiative is a great opportunity for Nigerian women entrepreneurs to gain university-level business and management training, strengthen their networks, and grow sustainable business.

  1. Africa No Filter media grant for women storytellers ($10,000 – $25,000 in Grants) 

The Media Grants by Africa No Filter are aimed exclusively at women storytellers and women-owned media organisations and outlets. This grant call-out wants to contribute to an increase in African female storytellers and content creators and to give space to voices that are historically misrepresented and underrepresented across the continent.

Journalists, bloggers, vloggers, content creators, podcasters can apply for Project Support grants worth up to $10,000 while organisations can apply for Operational Support and Capacity-Building grants of up to $25,000.

All applicants should have a track record of creating work that challenges stereotypical narratives of Africa through innovative, creative and compelling storytelling.

  1. MIT Legatum Center/Clayton Christensen Institute Market Creating Innovation Bootcamp 2022 for early-stage Entrepreneurs

The Market-Creating Innovation (MCI) Bootcamp is an eight-session curriculum designed to empower emerging market innovators with principles and frameworks necessary to create new markets that make products affordable. The full Bootcamp is made up eight sessions that will last approximately 90 minutes each. Participants can expect to spend an additional 60 – 90 minutes preparing for each session. The eight sessions will be offered over the course of a few days.

 The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for a Cooperative Agreement from qualified entities to implement the USAID Advancing Food Fortification Opportunities to Reinforce Diets (USAID AFFORD) program.

Goals

The successful applicant will prioritize support to Feed the Future (FTF) and nutrition priority countries to improve micronutrient adequacy and diets safely and sustainably for the most economically and nutritionally vulnerable population groups, through the large-scale food fortification (LSFF) of regularly consumed staple foods and condiments (e.g., salt, sugar, oil, rice, and flours).
