Finland has begun its 2025 first joint application to universities of Arts and universities of applied sciences for English-based degree programmes.
The application for the programme is set to run between the 8th and 22nd of January 2025 via Studyinfo, which is maintained by the Finnish National Agency for Education.
The joint application covers 431 study programmes: 216 at universities of applied sciences and 215 at universities of Arts. According to application details, only a total of about 8,600 study places are available.
Interested applicants can apply to higher education programmes in English starting in the autumn and to degree programmes offered by the University of the Arts during the application period.
Due to most of the applicants applying to English-taught degree programmes being from outside the EU, EEA or Switzerland, they are required to pay tuition fees. Starting from 1 Jan 2025, they are also required to pay an application fee of 100 euros to apply to Bachelor’s or Master’s level studies in Finland.
An applicant can apply to a maximum of six study programmes in each joint application. The applicant can however be accepted to several study programmes but can only accept one offer of admission in a programme leading to a university degree that begins in the same semester.
The results of the joint application to programmes in English will be published from early February onwards. All results are expected to have been published by Wednesday 28 May 2025.
Interested candidates are however advised to contact the Arts universities and universities of applied sciences for guidance on matters related to applying for the available programmes.
