The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has issued a statement refuting widespread rumours regarding new recruitment activities. In an official press release dated today January 23, 2025, the Commission clarified that no recruitment is currently underway, dismissing circulating information as baseless and misleading.

The notice, signed by Taiwo Hassan on behalf of the Honourable Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, explicitly states that any information suggesting advertised vacancies or recruitment drives under the name of the FCSC, including references to the Commission’s website and the Director (Recruitment and Appointment), is entirely fabricated.

The statement read, “The Commission unequivocally declares that the information containing the Commission’s website and the name of the Director (Recruitment and Appointment) did not emanate from the Commission. It is fictitious and should be disregarded”.

This announcement warns the Nigerian public to remain vigilant against fraudulent activities by recruitment syndicates and racketeers who exploit such false narratives for personal gain. The FCSC emphasized that any genuine recruitment process would be officially announced through national dailies and the Commission’s official website.

The statement further advises:

“The Commission warns members of the public to be wary of the activities of fake recruitment syndicates and racketeers; as there is no fresh appointment currently going on in the Commission.”

The FCSC reassures the public that accurate information regarding recruitment will be transparently communicated when the time comes. Until such an announcement is made, all should treat recruitment claims with skepticism.

This clarification is vital for job seekers across Nigeria who might have been misled by false advertisements, potentially leading to financial or identity-related risks. The Commission’s proactive step in issuing this disclaimer underscores its commitment to transparency and integrity in public service recruitment processes.

For more updates on official recruitment processes, the public is encouraged to check the FCSC’s official communications or visit their website.
