  1. Jack Ma Africa’s Business Heroes 2022

Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH) is the Jack Ma Foundation’s flagship philanthropic program in Africa to support entrepreneurs. The program is open to entrepreneurs from all 54 African countries and will see the top 10 finalists share the $1.5 million grant money yearly.

It is a 10-year programme that will recognize 100 African entrepreneurs and provide grant funding, training programs, and broader support for the broad African entrepreneurial ecosystem. It funds an enormous diversity of business with 16 different sectors including agriculture, beauty & wellness, construction, consulting, education, energy, environmental protection, financial services, F&B, healthcare, ICT, logistics, manufacturing, media & entertainment, retail, and transportation.

  1. Shell LiveWire Program 2022

LiveWire Nigeria is a youth enterprise development programme supported by The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC). The program operates in the Niger Delta region and aims to inspire, encourage and support young people aged 18 – 30 to start up their own businesses in the Nigerian States of Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Abia, Imo and Akwa-Ibom.

  2. Trainees have the opportunity to meet and network with like-minded minds and business leaders to learn from their wealth of experience.
  3. Successful applicants will not just be provided with funding after the program. They will also be provided with business kits and links to potential investors.

  1. Must have an already established business idea that is profitable.
  2. Should be within the ages of 18 – 30 years
  3. Must have attended an entrepreneur training.
  4. Must hail from any of the Niger Delta States.

Fuel Africa is one of the largest cross-university and international innovation programme across the continent which creates avenue for participants to network, build their skillsets, learn about entrepreneurship and receive world-class mentorship from AstraZeneca & Microsoft. Students or Alumni (maximum of 3 years) in one of the universities below are invited to participate in Fuel Africa Healthcare Innovation Program powered by Futurize.
