Job Summary:

Coca-Cola is seeking a Senior Manager, Legal Counsel – Africa to oversee legal operations, compliance, and risk management across its African markets. Based in Lagos, Nigeria, this role requires an expert in commercial law, contracts, and corporate governance to support the company’s growth and protect its interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and strategic guidance to Coca-Cola’s African operations.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws affecting business operations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements and regulatory filings.
  • Manage litigation and dispute resolution in collaboration with external counsel.
  • Support business units on corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Advise leadership on new laws, policies, and industry trends that impact the business.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • LL.B. degree and bar admission in Nigeria or a relevant African jurisdiction.
  • Minimum 8+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably in FMCG, corporate, or commercial law.
  • Strong understanding of African business regulations and international corporate law.
  • Experience handling high-stakes negotiations, compliance, and litigation.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
