EuroCham Nigeria Holds Maiden Stakeholders’ Conference

The European Business Chamber (EuroCham) Nigeria held a Stakeholder Conference on “Gaining Traction in Power Sector Reforms” in December at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos. Speakers at the high-profile event included Eyo Ekpo, former National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) Commissioner; Emmanuel Anosike, Director of Transmission, Federal Ministry of Power who represented the Minister of Power, Abubakar Aliyu, Seun Suleiman, Managing Director, Siemens Energy Nigeria, Cécile Tassin-Pelzer, Head of Unit/Head of Cooperation, European Union Delegation to Nigeria, Samuela Isopi, the European Union Ambassador to Nigeria and Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Bankole Cardoso, Managing Director, Engie Energy Access, Christopher Ezeafulukwe, representative of the Group CEO, Transcorp Power, Owen Omogiafo, Christophe Begat, Managing Director, Anglophone West Africa, Schneider Electric and Olalere Odusote, Commissioner for Energy And Mineral Resources, Lagos State. His Highness Sanusi Lamido Sanusi delivered the closing remarks at the event.
EuroCham Nigeria was founded in October 2018 at the 7th EU-Nigeria Business. It is a member of the EBO (European Business Organisation) Worldwide Network which consists of European companies operating in markets outside the European Union. EBO promotes trade and investments and advocates business best practices and European corporate governance and corporate social responsibility standards.
The President of EuroCham Nigeria is Mary Ojulari, Deputy Managing Director/ Chief Finance Officer at Weststar Associates Limited. EuroCham has 45 members; membership is also open to Nigerian businesses that conduct businesses mainly with European companies.
