Muslims worldwide have started commemorating Eid al-Fitr, a major holiday in the Islamic calendar. Known as the “festival of the breaking of the fast,” Eid al-Fitr marks the conclusion of Ramadan, a month-long period of fasting for many adults, coupled with spiritual reflections and prayers.
