Dollar-Naira Exchange Rates Today (November 26, 2025): Naira Gains Post CBN Rates Hold

As of 25 November 2025, the Nigerian Naira exhibited divergent movements against major currencies in official and parallel market segments, according to the latest data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), remittance platforms; LEMFI, and REMITLY.

In the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM), the naira strengthened by 0.41% against the US dollar, closing at ₦1,452/$1 on 24 November 2025, compared to ₦1,458/$1 on 21 November 2025, representing a gain of ₦6 per dollar.

In the parallel market/black market, data from NgnRates.com and Abokiforex.app reveal the naira was quoted at N1455-N1460/$1 (Buy) and N1465-N1470/$1 (Sell).

In contrast, International Money Transfer Operators (IMTOs) showed a slightly different trend. According to rates from LEMFI and REMITLY, the naira weakened marginally by 0.20% against the US dollar, moving from ₦1,471/$1 on 24 November to ₦1,474/$1 on 25 November, a depreciation of ₦3.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s external reserves continued their gradual upward trend, reaching $44.262 billion as of 21 November 2025, reflecting a 0.16% increase ($73 million) from $44.189 billion recorded on 20 November 2025.

Overall, while the official NAFEM window showed naira appreciation against the dollar, the IMTO rates indicated naira depreciation across the Dollar, Pounds, and Canadian dollars terms but notable gains against the Euro, highlighting ongoing segmentation and volatility in Nigeria’s foreign exchange market.
