Dallas ICE Facility Shooting: Two Detainees, Shooter Confirmed Dead

Dallas ICE facility shooting

Two US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainees were killed in a shooting incident at a Dallas ICE detention facility on Wednesday. The shooter has also been confirmed dead, while another person was injured.

The police were said to have responded to a call at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office shortly before 7 a.m on Wednesday at 8101 North Stemmons Freeway in Dallas, off Interstate 35E in search of a possible sniper or multiple shooters.

In a statement, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem confirmed there was a shooting at a Dallas ICE facility.

“Details are still emerging, but we can confirm there were multiple injuries and fatalities.

“The shooter is deceased by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. While we don’t know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them. It must stop. Please pray for the victims and their families.” Noem said.
