CDCFIB Launches Recruitment For Federal Fire Service Mid-Management Roles

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has opened applications for mid-management positions within the Federal Fire Service (FFS). The Board is calling on qualified public sector employees to submit their applications within one week of the announcement.

Available roles include Deputy Controller of Fire (CONPASS 14), Assistant Controller of Fire (CONPASS 13), Chief Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 12), Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 11), and Deputy Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 10). Eligible candidates are serving employees in Federal, State, or Local Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

Application Instructions

Applicants should submit applications through the Board’s official email: info@cdcfib.gov.ng.

The Board stressed that “multiple applications will automatically disqualify a candidate” and that submissions must be completed no later than 15th December 2025. The recruitment process is free of charge.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must meet a minimum height of 1.65m for men and 1.60m for women, be physically and mentally fit, and provide evidence of confirmation of appointment, three years of APER/PMS, certified true copies of service records, medical fitness certificates from a recognized government hospital, and letters of identification from their Local Government of origin.

Candidates must also be free from financial embarrassment and have no criminal record. Personnel from paramilitary services are not eligible.

About the Federal Fire Service

The Federal Fire Service is responsible for preventing, controlling, and responding to fire emergencies nationwide. Its mandate includes extinguishing fires, rescuing victims, and protecting lives and property.

The FFS also runs the National Fire Academy, which trains and develops firefighters across Nigeria.
