Beta Glass Plc’s unaudited results for the half year ended June 30, 2025, reveal a remarkable profit after tax of ₦18.7 billion, up 334% from ₦4.3 billion in H1 2024. Revenue soared 63.4% to ₦78.2 billion, compared to ₦47.9 billion a year earlier.

Gross profit surged nearly 3X to ₦29.4 billion versus ₦9.9 billion, reflecting improved operational efficiency and economies of scale. Operating profit also rose sharply to ₦26.8 billion, up from ₦7.1 billion, indicating a robust operating margin improvement.

Profit before tax climbed to ₦27.6 billion from ₦6.3 billion, representing an increase of over 338%. Meanwhile, earnings per share (EPS) more than quadrupled to ₦31.18 in H1 2025, up from ₦7.18 in H1 2024.

Finance income increased to ₦5.0 billion in H1 2025, up from ₦3.7 billion, slightly cushioning the impact of rising finance costs, which rose to ₦3.8 billion. This net interest differential contributed to stronger bottom‑line results.

In the second quarter alone, revenue hit ₦37.1 billion (Q2 2024: ₦23.6 billion), while profit after tax rose to ₦8.7 billion from ₦2.9 billion. EPS for Q2 climbed to ₦14.52, compared with ₦4.78 in Q2 of the prior year.

Beta Glass emphasizes efforts to expand capacity, enhance product quality, and capitalize on rising demand in the booming food and beverage sector. The company maintains it is well‑positioned to sustain growth and deliver long‑term value to shareholders.
