Banky W, Seni Sulyman Selected for Prestigious Bishop Tutu Fellowship

The African Leadership Institute has announced exceptional emerging African leaders for the prestigious Tutu Leadership Fellowship for 2020.

According to the Institute, 21 young leaders were selected from 11 African countries to take part in the 2020 cohort out of over 300 nominees from 36 African countries.

From Nigeria, selected fellows include Nigerian popular singer/actor and politician, Bankole Wellington, Olamide Aina of Ventures Platform, and Seni Sulyman, Vice President of Global Operations at Andela.

The Tutu Leadership Fellowship Programme is an elite group of Africa’s highest potential young leaders, representing a wide range of sectors.

The programme is offered on a part-time basis over six months, including two 9-day Group Learning Modules with an impressive array of distinguished leaders and faculty. The intensive interactive workshops are held at the historic Mont Fleur conference facility (South Africa), and the other split between Oxford University and London (UK).

For this year, year, the Fellowship Programme has been put on hold to a later time after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Past Nigerian fellows include Bosun Tijani – co-founder of CCHub, Jude MI Abaga – rapper and CEO of Chocolate City Records, Sadiq Usman, Executive at Flour Mills of Nigeria, Chude Jideonwo – partner and co-founder of RED Africa, Oluseun Onigbinde – Lead Partner and co-founder of BudgIT, among others.
