About the Role
Ashoka is looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader to join as the Africa Financial Director. This role is critical in shaping the financial strategy that sustains Ashoka’s impact across Africa. The ideal candidate will oversee financial operations, growth planning, and strategic alignment to ensure robust financial management that strengthens Ashoka’s regional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement a financial vision that aligns with Ashoka Africa’s strategic growth.
- Strategic Advisory: Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the Africa Diamond Leader and senior leadership.
- Budgeting & Performance Management: Oversee annual and multi-year budget planning and ensure effective financial tracking.
- Financial Controls & Risk Management: Strengthen financial oversight, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with Ashoka’s global finance team, funders, and program partners to support regional goals.
Who Should Apply?
- Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or an MBA (CPA preferred).
- Experience: Significant background in financial management within mission-driven organizations, ideally with experience in scaling operations.
- Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex financial concepts for diverse stakeholders.
