Rapper, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington has issued a defiant message to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) after the agency summoned him to appear for questioning over his alleged confession to the rape of a minor.

It would be recalled that the singer recently shared a video on his Instagram page where he confessed to having carnal knowledge of a 15-year old lady in his hotel room. Following the uproar generated by the video and calls for the rapper’s arrest, he was summoned by NAPTIP, a summon he has failed to honor.

Speed Darlington Response

Responding to his summon by NAPTIP, the rapper claimed all he did was talk carelessly and stated he had no intention to appear before the agency except he receives an appearance fee of N2.5million.

“This video is for maximum  attention, all this wanted  to take that shit down,  I’m not coming  you hear me I’m not comingI have not committed any crime. all I did was speak  irresponsible talk, it  is not a crime  I’m not coming.

The rapper further challenged the agency for evidence ” where is your evidence, who is the complainant  hey you want to use me to collect social media clout, hey look at us we are doing our job we summoned a celebrity and he came’

“I was born here too, I know the psychological mind game wey una won use my name play. I charge N2.5 million for appearance, una go pay me N2.5 million plus round trip tickets for me and my PA, because I call that appearance (the NAPTIP invite) because I know you guys have no evidence you have nothing. There’s no crime, all I did was trying to trend. So me coming there is a waste of my time.

“You are reacting because people were tagging you to go after me. And now you want to show Nigerians say you are a good agency. Go after me for talking? Which one is cyber stalking? Who did I stalk? Did I post anyone? Did I call any name in the video?

“I knack 15-year-old girl, na crime? Where is the evidence? Make una remove me from that list wey una put una self ooo. Honestly I go sue una for defamation of character, for spoiling my name because you have no evidence.” He concluded.
