The African Development Bank (AfDB) is hiring a Chief Regional Procurement Coordinator in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Chief Regional Procurement Coordinator will ensure that procurement activities within the East Africa region comply with the Bank’s Procurement Framework. The Coordinator will guide project teams, build procurement capacity within borrowing countries, support reforms, and lead diagnostic reviews and assessments.
Duty Station: AfDB’s East Africa Regional Office, Nairobi
Reporting Line: Functionally to the Division Manager (SNFI.3); Administratively to the Regional Operations Manager for Implementation Support

Education & Experience
Master’s degree in Engineering, Law, Business/Public Administration, Economics, or related field
Minimum 7 years’ experience in procurement for donor-funded projects
Familiarity with AfDB’s or similar institutions’ procurement policies
Experience with both sovereign and private sector procurement an advantage
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of procurement practices (goods, works, consultancy services)
Advisory, stakeholder engagement, and capacity-building capabilities
Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French desirable
Proficient in MS Office; SAP knowledge is an asset
Proven leadership and mentoring experience
