Access Bank Appoints Akinyemi Odusolu as Independent Non-Executive Director

Access Bank Plc, a subsidiary of Access Holdings Plc, has announced the appointment of Mr. Akinyemi Odusolu as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective May 2, 2025. The appointment has received approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria and has been duly communicated to all relevant regulatory authorities.

Mr. Odusolu brings over three decades of experience in the financial services sector and IT consulting. His career has spanned leading institutions, including Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, former Habib Nigeria Bank Limited, and the now-defunct Nigerian Intercontinental Merchant Bank, where he gained expertise in risk management, business development, transaction services, and underwriting.

Currently, Mr. Odusolu is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Realm Limited, a software engineering and consulting firm with operations across Europe. He was also the pioneer Managing Director and CEO of Cornerstone Financial Services, a subsidiary of Cornerstone Insurance Plc.

His appointment is seen as a strategic move to enrich the board’s governance capabilities with diverse global perspectives. “I am pleased to welcome Mr. Odusolu to the Board of Access Bank Plc,” said Mr. Paul Usoro, SAN, Chairman of Access Bank. “His appointment reflects our commitment to global best practices in corporate governance and confidence in the continued growth and resilience of Access Bank.”

Mr. Odusolu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Ife and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Lagos. He also holds certifications in Oracle e-Business Suite and has completed executive development programmes at leading business schools.

Beyond his corporate career, Mr. Odusolu serves on the Board of Tearfund, a global charity operating in over 75 countries, underscoring his commitment to ethical leadership and community service.
