4in4 Countries: A Photo Essay of Nigerians Touring the World

Gone are the days that if people told you they had holidayed abroad, you could safely assume they have visited London, or Houston or New York in the USA. Millennials venture everywhere their parents would never have dreamt of or even never have heard of, from Soneva Fushi in The Maldives to Kohkood Island in Thailand. We came by a tweet by the popular British-Nigerian talk show host and public speaker, Toni Tone (@t0nit0ne), asking followers to name four countries they have visited.

Our analysis of the enthusiastic response is very revealing: out of 110 people, only 9 people visited United Kingdom. With 36 visitors (32.7%), France was the top European destination while Thailand, with 27 visitors (24.5%), was the top non-European destination.

The 13 people (11.8%) who visited South Africa made it the top African destination, closely followed by Egypt (11 visits) and Morocco (11 visits).
