Former Governor of Delta State and the Vice Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections, Ifeanyi Okowa has hinted at joining another party as the race towards the 2027 elections begin to gather steam.
Okowa, who was running mate to Atiku Abubakar in 2023, dropped this hint while addressing his constituents in a video making rounds on social media. Speaking in his native dialect, Okowa said, “Be assured that we will not go in the wrong direction; we will take the best direction, the best path for our people.” He further promised to announce his new direction soon.
In the aftermath of the video, a lot of social media users have predicted he just might be joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) soon especially after the PDP Governors Forum recently distanced themselves from a planned merger which Atiku was said to be a part of.
