2024 Ballon d’Or Nominees announced: Bellingham, Haaland, and Vinicius Favourites

The Ballon d’Or 2024 ceremony, set for October 28, will celebrate the top football talents across multiple categories. 

The prestigious awards, presented by France Football, honor the best players, goalkeepers, and coaches in both men’s and women’s football, alongside rising stars and the highest goal scorers of the previous season.

Men’s Ballon d’Or Nominees

The men’s category features some of the biggest stars in football, with Real Madrid and Manchester City dominating the list. Among the top names:

  1. Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid/England)
  2. Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid/Brazil)
  3. Erling Haaland (Manchester City/Norway)
  4. Kylian Mbappé (PSG/France)
  5. Ademola Lookman  (Atalanta,Nigeria)

Women’s Ballon d’Or Nominees:

In the women’s category, Aitana Bonmati (Barcelona/Spain) leads the charge, having already won the UEFA Women’s Player of the Year. She is joined by Barcelona teammates Alexia Putellas and Salma Paralluelo, both of whom have had outstanding seasons.

Yachine Trophy nominees:

The Yachine Trophy, awarded to the best goalkeeper, features names like:

Kopa Trophy nominees (Best U21 Player):

The Kopa Trophy highlights young talents like:

  2. Lamine Yamal ( Barcelona, Spain)
  3. Pau Cubarsi (Barcelona, Spain)

The event will also recognize the Gerd Müller Trophy for top scorers and award for the Men’s and Women’s Coach of the Year, reflecting the critical role of coaching in football success.

The ceremony at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris promises to be an exciting celebration of football’s finest.
